Bristol NHS Foundation Trust Animation

For the launch of Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, Freshwater created an animation to support the wider communications campaign introducing the new organisation to patients, colleagues, partners and local communities.

The new Trust brought together North Bristol NHS Trust and University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust into one organisation, with a shared ambition to deliver more equitable and sustainable healthcare services across the South West.

Through clear messaging and engaging visuals, the animation helped explain what the merger meant and communicate the vision for a more collaborative future of healthcare.

Brief

Freshwater was commissioned to create an animation to support the launch of Bristol NHS Foundation Trust.

The animation needed to provide a clear and engaging way to explain the benefits of the two Trusts becoming one organisation. It also needed to communicate the ambitious vision for the future, while remaining accessible to staff, partners, patients and stakeholders.

It had to be visually compelling, easy to understand and suitable for use across multiple digital and social media channels, while working as part of the wider launch campaign.

Delivery

Drawing on our extensive experience of creating public health animations, we developed an animation that transformed detailed information about the merger into a compelling and easy-to-follow story.

Working closely with the communications team, we translated the strategic messages into a clear narrative that would resonate with diverse audiences.

Our creative team developed a visual approach that supported the narrative, using graphics and animation techniques to simplify messages and maintain audience engagement.

To ensure the animation could be accessed by the widest possible audience, we also created closed captions and supplied an accompanying SRT subtitle file. This helped support accessibility requirements and ensured the content could be easily understood and shared across multiple digital platforms.

Results

The animation was delivered in line with the client’s specifications, ready for launch across a variety of digital, social and stakeholder communication channels.

It became an important part of the launch communications for Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, helping introduce the new organisation and explain what the change means for the people it serves.
