Bart Haines Digital Intern Placement – 12 months

In memory of our colleague Bart Haines who was particularly passionate about developing young people and was well respected within the business community, for his own innovative talent, we are recruiting for a Digital Intern.

Location: Freshwater Cardiff office (Hodge House, St Marys Street, Cardiff)

Salary: Above the real Living Wage salary

Contract: 12 months initially, full time 37 hours per week

We are looking for recent graduate with a passion for digital marketing and a desire to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment to join our team, initially for a 12-month period.

As a Digital Intern, you will work closely with our Digital Manager to support and deliver client campaigns across a range of online platforms, including paid and organic channels. Over time, you’ll take on day-to-day responsibility for managing live campaigns and contribute to reporting on campaign and website performance using digital analytics tools.

This is a great opportunity to build your skills, gain exposure to different areas of digital marketing and work with clients across a variety of sectors.

The successful post holder will:

• Hold a degree in digital marketing, marketing, communications or a related subject
• Demonstrate an interest in digital marketing and a willingness to learn and develop new skills to further their understanding
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of different digital channels and platforms, and how they can be used to increase visibility and drive traffic online
• Be comfortable to take on new challenges by promoting different campaigns online
• Preferably have experience of raising digital awareness or visibility of a topic or project – be it organically or paid
• Be able to work independently and as part of a team
• Have knowledge and interest in social media platforms
• Demonstrate their ability to be proactive and use their initiative
• Possess very good planning and organisation skills
• Be confident with all Microsoft Office packages.

The candidate will, ideally, be a recent graduate with some experience of, and seeking to pursue a career in, Digital clients servicing within an agency environment.
