How to successfully deliver rail station development

Ahead of the UK Rail Station Development and Regeneration Conference on 10 November, run by Waterfront Conference Company, we hear from some of the speakers on what they will be discussing at the event.

The virtual UK Rail Station Development and Regeneration conference is your practical guide to successfully delivering station development. The day will provide you with updates on plans for developments, how to improve customer experience and how to work collaboratively to deliver projects.

Martin Phillips, Head of Customer Strategy at East West Rail, will be one of the experts providing an update on station development. Hear more from Martin as he gives insight into the innovative work EWR are doing around putting the customer at heart of EWR station designs.

Matt Ward, Head of Strategic Development Projects at Plymouth City Council, will be speaking on an afternoon panel on improving collaboration to deliver rail station redevelopment. One of the key challenges facing rail station projects is the lack of funding and financial viability. Hear from Matt on how he overcame this by working with partners on a project that he is currently involved with in Plymouth.

Steven Mifsud, Director at Direct Access, will be taking part in a panel discussion about putting passengers first and how to design and maintain inclusive stations which are accessible to all.

Rick Lawrence, Partnerships and Property Director at LCR Property, will be speaking with Simon Elliott, Head of Rail Programmes at Transport for Greater Manchester Partnership, on station upgrades and development as a catalyst for economic growth in suburban areas.
