Spotlight On: Ewan Moore

In the latest edition of our Spotlight On series, we turn our focus to Ewan Moore, our Growth & Development Director, who joined Freshwater in January 2023.

What is your specialism?

I specialise in client growth and business development and have over 17 years of agency experience across a mix of marketing roles. I’m a strategic and motivated individual that loves forging exceptional relationships with colleagues, clients, and partners.

When the pressure is on and deadlines are looming, I love nothing more than rallying the team to make sure everything is done brilliantly while keeping everyone calm and positive.

What does a typical day look like for you?

It’s almost always the composition of different actions: creds, meetings, proposals, tenders, leads, pipelines, and strategic planning. That being said, the days are hardly the same, which is why I love working in an agency!

What’s your favourite thing about Freshwater?

The people! It’s a cliché but it’s true. The Freshwater team are passionate, fun and driven to succeed, which speaks to the genuine relationships that we have with clients and colleagues alike. It’s no surprise that we have several clients that have worked with us for over 20 years.

Have you always wanted to work in marketing? Tell us a bit about it.

I graduated with a Physical Geography and Tourism degree yet started life out in marketing in events. The more I learnt about brands, channels, creativity, and insights; the more I loved the world of marketing. After a good accumulation of organising skills, I made the decision that has finally led me to Freshwater – I opted to work at an agency, which has given me so many wonderful experiences, with many more to come.

What do you like to do outside of work?

I love my photography, my cycling, my sneakers, playing football and of course Bristol Rovers – any opportunity to spend time outside I’ll grab it. Whether it’s getting out for a 70km ride or wandering around a National Trust property, the excitement and thrill is always unparalleled.
