Delivering an event to promote digital transformation during the pandemic

At a glance

The BT Wales and South West Digital Technology 20 (DT20) virtual event was designed for senior leaders working in IT in the public or private sector. BT wanted to demonstrate the security threats presented by moving to agile working and how the organisation can stay protected.

With an enhanced focus on economic growth, equality, efficiency savings and collaboration, the event shared tips on how organisations can prepare for a smarter digital future.

Freshwater helped the event, which was held virtually on account of the global COVID-19 pandemic, run smoothly and professionally.

Brief

Freshwater was asked to deliver an online event aimed to uncover plans for digital transformation in Wales and the South West for BT.

As well as hearing from BT, the event needed to include speakers from businesses in Wales and the South West, who could talk through their digital journeys.

Delivery

Freshwater built a registration form and event platform in-line with BT brand guidelines, and worked with BT’s marketing team to promote the event via email (data purchase) and LinkedIn targeting by sector profiling.

We helped BT secure a host for the event and provided technical support to their senior team. We also managed all technical elements of the live event including polls and Q&As.

We designed a branded PowerPoint, which included animation and video, that was used at the event.

RESULTS

The event succeeded all expectations with nearly two hundred virtual delegates in attendance.
