November Highlights

December is in full swing, as is the festive spirit at Freshwater, but there were lots reasons to celebrate in November that can’t go unnoticed. Here are some of our favourites.

In November, we attended the 25th Fast Growth 50 Awards and were delighted to win an award for People-led Growth.

Our events team delivered a celebration of Diwali event with Welsh Government for a third consecutive year. Check out the video above to see just how much of a success it was.

November saw the opening a brand-new Specsavers store in the Mumbles – the first new store in Wales to open since the Covid-19 pandemic. Our account director, Steve, attended the opening where ex-Swansea FC and current Mumbles player Lee Trundle cut the ribbon and celebrated with staff.

To mark UK Disability History Month, we’ve kickstarted a series of learning events – the first being about neurodiversity, delivered by Sarah Bridgeman, a senior neurodiversity coach at 3SC.

Sarah talked to us about her experience of supporting people living with neurodiversity and how having teams made up of a range of ‘different thinkers’ helps us be more creative, make less errors and enables us to overcome adversity.

Our sister company, Waterfront Conference Company, delivered another sell-out event – the CIL, s106 and Infrastructure Levy Masterclass – which shared the latest updates on the plans for the new infrastructure levy and the potential implications of its introduction among many other important practical guidance on the management and spending of CIL.
